Role: Residential and Commercial Housekeeper/Cleaner

Overview:
The Residential and Commercial Housekeeper/Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior cleanliness, organization, and overall functionality of residential and commercial properties. This role extends beyond cleaning, incorporating light cooking, pet care, and household support services, making it ideal for someone with a passion for creating welcoming environments and providing exceptional service.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning and Maintenance Excellence (Interior and Exterior)

  • Clean and maintain all interior spaces, including:
    • Residential: Bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and home offices.
    • Commercial: Offices, lobbies, restrooms, break rooms, and conference rooms.
  • Handle exterior cleaning tasks, such as:
    • Sweeping patios, walkways, and driveways.
    • Cleaning outdoor furniture and maintaining entryways.
    • Power washing when required.
  • Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize surfaces, ensuring all spaces meet the highest hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Perform specialized cleaning for windows, mirrors, carpets, and upholstery.
  • Identify and report maintenance needs for timely resolution.

2. Laundry and Garment Care

  • Provide laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing.
  • Press garments to a professional standard and ensure proper storage.
  • Clean and polish shoes, ensuring they are presentable and well-maintained.

3. Light Cooking

  • Prepare light meals or snacks according to household preferences.
  • Assist with meal prep, ensuring ingredients are fresh and ready for use.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including proper storage of food items.

4. Pet Care

  • Provide loving care for household pets, including feeding, grooming, and ensuring their overall well-being.
  • Walk dogs regularly, providing exercise and companionship.
  • Handle minor pet-related errands, such as picking up supplies or scheduling appointments.

5. Household and Errand Support

  • Pick up and drop off dry cleaning, ensuring items are returned in pristine condition.
  • Run light errands, such as grocery shopping and restocking household supplies.
  • Organize and maintain a well-stocked pantry, refrigerator, and other storage spaces.
  • Assist with event preparation or special occasions, ensuring the home is ready for guests.

6. Exterior and Interior Organization

  • Keep outdoor spaces clean and welcoming, including patios, gardens, and entryways.
  • Organize indoor storage spaces, closets, and cupboards for functionality and ease of access.
  • Rotate seasonal items (e.g., clothing, décor) as needed.

7. Client Interaction and Communication

  • Communicate with clients to understand their preferences and ensure all tasks are completed to their satisfaction.
  • Provide updates on completed tasks, any additional needs, or issues requiring attention.

8. Health and Safety Compliance

  • Use cleaning products and equipment safely, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Follow guidelines for pet care and food safety.
  • Ensure all household and workplace areas meet health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a housekeeper/cleaner, with knowledge of interior and exterior cleaning.
  • A passion for pets and experience with pet care and dog walking.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills, with the ability to manage diverse responsibilities.
  • Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation.
  • Professional garment care experience, including ironing and shoe maintenance.
  • Physical stamina to handle extended periods of cleaning and errands.
  • Discretion, professionalism, and respect for client privacy.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of eco-friendly and specialty cleaning products and techniques.
  • Familiarity with basic home maintenance tools and outdoor cleaning equipment.
  • Excellent time management skills and adaptability to changing schedules.
